Luminox XS.3155.M Pacific Divers Chrono Mens Watch
Since 1989, Luminox has been dedicated to producing watches that combine precision, durability and functionality. Our watches are designed to meet the high demands of professionals in the military, law enforcement and other extreme environments, as well as adventurous individuals who need a watch that can keep up with their active lifestyle. After Luminox equipped the SEALs with the watches, other elite units contacted the brand directly, including the US Coast Guard, the New York Police Department, the Singapore Air Force, the Israeli Special Forces and many other law enforcement groups. Luminox was approached by US Air Force pilots flying the F-117 Nighthawk™ stealth fighter jet. This initial contact developed into a worldwide licence agreement to manufacture Lockheed Martin watches.
In 2008, Luminox expands its global presence to over 50 countries and becomes a truly global brand. Since then, Luminox has collaborated with counter-terrorism expert and underwater explorer Scott Cassell. Cassell is a professional diver and relies on Luminox watches for his diving equipment. In 2015, Luminox initiated the Luminox Special Operations Challenge (LSOC): To honour its legacy, Luminox partners with retired Navy SEALs to offer civilians the opportunity to train like a Navy SEAL for a day. In 2018, Luminox was named an official partner of the Icelandic Association for Search and Rescue (ICE-SAR). To celebrate and honour this partnership, Luminox has created a special ICE-SAR Arctic series.
The Luminox technology
Unique Luminox lighting technology ensures visibility at a glance - Luminox watch technology provides a glow around the clock, regardless of weather conditions, for up to 25 years. Most other watches use luminous paint, which is characterised by a light source that needs to be charged and fades very quickly, or a ‘push-to-light’ system where you have to press a button for battery-powered lights.
Luminox uses an innovative carbon compound - CARBONOX™ - for its ultra-lightweight watches, which are appreciated by professional athletes and outdoor enthusiasts alike. With CARBONOX™, Luminox creates high-tech watches with a very robust and hard-finished watch case that takes durability to a whole new level. Luminox has a long history with CARBONOX™ and has been using this material for its watch cases and some straps since 2006. CARBONOX™ consists of carbon powder in varying proportions depending on the watch model:
- 6 times lighter than steel, 3 times lighter than titanium
- Durable
- Non-metallic, anti-allergic, anti-magnetic
- Strong chemical resistance
- Very low thermal expansion and low thermal expansion, weather-resistant
